Romancing the Life

Standing by the sea the larks swinging by

I find that it is not all there has to be

A random soldier standing beside me

Quoting lines of philosophy

His words drifting in perfect symmetry

The shellfish gleam amongst the rocks

Pulling up their rainbow socks

I drift here standing by the docks

Drifting through the flaming locks

Of the rays of sun in my skin

Nothing is quite the same after the rain

Gazing at the small white daisies

I try to make a daisy chain

But then they bow again to the rain

Drowning the music of my name

I just want some rainbow ice cream

To let my voice finally sing

But there he is with his philosophy

When I want to run amongst the birds

Caught again by another whirlwind
